The launch of the DICENTIS Participant App for Android extends the feature set of the DICENTIS conference devices by linking them with standard, off-the-shelf Android tablets running the new Participant Application. The DICENTIS Participant App is available with the new DICENTIS Conference System 6.30 software release. It has been created to build on the capabilities of the DICENTIS conference platform while also adding in maximum flexibility for users. It enriches the meeting experience for participants with additional control, meeting data and multimedia content delivered via an Android tablet.

The DICENTIS Participant App gives users the ability to request to speak, cast votes and view meeting information all via an off-the-shelf Android device. The Android device can be easily linked with the Conference microphone in the meeting room to act as a single participant position.

What are the DICENTIS Participant App Highlights?

Flexible by design
The DICENTIS Participant App has been designed with flexibility at its heart. It is a native app which can run on standard off-the-shelf Android devices with the screen size of choice. Devices are one-time registered by a technician for security purposes. During the meeting, participants can easily log-in as configured and are automatically linked with their conference device to act as a single participant position.

As well as Android tablets, the app can run on Android boxes that can be connected to any type of touchscreen, such as third party motorized screens. This provides further flexibility for systems integrators to create customized setups and users retrofitting equipment into an existing AV environment.

Enriched meeting experience
The DICENTIS Participant app delivers visual meeting content and control for a more efficient and engaging experience. By easily linking with a DICENTIS conference device, the app enriches meetings by providing additional control, meeting data, and multimedia content. It gives users the ability to request to speak, cast votes and view meeting information such as agenda points and links to documents all via an off-the-shelf Android tablet.

Second point of control
As a second point of control, the DICENTIS Participant App delivers redundancy to critical features. It allows users to request to speak and cast votes, meaning that controlling these functions works via hardware control on the DICENTIS device as well as via the app.

Ease of management
Simple management is an important element for the IT professionals that look after the solution. Factors including periodic device replacement and Android security updates for the fully secure app ensure confidence in the solution for IT teams.

Building on this, the DICENTIS Participant App adds a layer of futureproofing. The initial release is for Android devices, but this will be followed with an iPadOS version in the future to maximize freedom of choice.

Delivery that suits you
The DICENTIS Participant App is enabled in two main ways to suit the requirements of end customers. For DICENTIS systems with Perpetual licenses the app is an add-on license per participant. For DICENTIS systems with the Professional license plan the Participant Application is included as standard for extra value-add. This plan also includes an ongoing software maintenance agreement to ensure optimized performance, security, and reliability. The Professional license plan provides users with the greatest flexibility and requires lower initial investment. This makes it a future-proof investment based on transparent and predictable annual costs with the possibility to expand with add-on services like DICENTIS Hybrid meetings.
