For rapid detection of security breaches, the UNESCO World Heritage Sites the Emperor Qin Shi Huang’s Mausoleum museum required a new intrusion system for the 16,300-square-meter museum area.

The Xi'an National Edition Museum, China

The China National Library project is a monumental initiative focused on cultural security and the rejuvenation of Chinese heritage. Central to the project is the Xi'an National Edition Museum in Sanqin, with architecture inspired by the Han and Tang dynasties. Spanning a surface of 82,500 square meters, the museum required a complete security and communication solution to protect its extensive collection. The system needed to be efficient to manage and should facilitate collaboration among the museum staff.

To keep the striking glass structure and valuable contents safe, the museum needed to overhaul its alarm system. Though the building is not particularly large, it needed wide range of different types of detectors at around 600 indoor and outdoor alarm points. The museum owner was looking for a partner with a solid track record in museum installations to tackle the challenge.
