Improved sound quality for meetings held across multiple locations
Systems upgrade at Thailand Provincial Electricity Authority
As the global electricity demand rises, so does the pressure on electricity providers such as Provincial Electricity Authority, Central Area 1 (PEA1). PEA1 is a supplier of standardised electricity for the general public, businesses and industrial sectors in seven provinces in Thailand: Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Ang Thong, Pathum Thani, Saraburi, Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi and Sa Kaeo. The organisation needs to ensure it remains productive as it scales, especially as it communicates internally through meetings held across multiple locations. PEA1 was looking for ways to expand the current conference systems it was using to facilitate meetings in its offices in all seven provinces.
PEA1 relied on the expert guidance of Bosch partner Patararungroj Ltd to recommend a suitable system and to handle the installation process in selected offices. Following a thorough audit of possible candidates and product demos, the new CCS 1000 D Digital Discussion and CCS 900 Ultro Discussion systems were selected.
Seamless integration
Both systems offer best-in-class sound quality and can cater to the requirement to hold internal meetings across 25 meeting rooms with a capacity of 40-50 persons per room. In addition, the new conference systems is backward compatible as it can be integrated seamlessly with the older Bosch CCS 900, CCS 800 and CCS 400 installations already in operation at PEA1.
Excellent speech intelligibility
The CCS 1000 D Digital Discussion system addresses the need for the solution to be compact, user-friendly and easy to install while offering excellent speech intelligibility, thanks to advanced digital audio processing and superior microphone and loudspeaker performance. The loudspeaker and microphone are activated simultaneously, negating any form of “lag” in sound and creating a more natural face-to-face meeting feel. The system also utilises built-in Digital Acoustic Feedback Suppression (DAFS) so users can reach higher volumes without causing any audio feedback, the sound distortion experienced with many sound systems.
Managing multiple speakers with ease
The CCS 1000 D Digital Discussion system not only offers excellent speech quality, intelligibility and a built-in digital acoustic for feedback suppression, but also incorporates new design features and extra functions like the ability to record conferences digitally for up to 4,000 hours on a single USB stick, as well as the “Possible-To-Speak” indication, designed and developed by Bosch experts in Europe. The indicator gives users a visual indication when the microphone is available to speak into, so as to avoid multiple users talking over one another. Depending on the selected mode of the control unit, up to four users can switch on their microphones simultaneously. With this, internal meetings are managed with ease.
The future of conferencing
Following the successful installation of the CCS 900 Ultro Discussion and CCS 1000 D Digital Discussion systems, it is clear to PEA1 just how superb these Bosch systems are in terms of quality, flexibility and innovation. In addition, with the intuitive nature of the system, PEA1 staff can hold their internal meetings with ease with no special training required.
With the advanced, high-quality, user-friendly, versatile and compact systems Bosch offers, it is no wonder that Bosch systems make up 90% of PEA 1’s conference systems.
