Dicentis Flush marks first Vietnamese installation at Industrial Technology College

Vietnamese Industrial Technology College

Vinh City, Vietnam, May 2024 – Dicentis Flush has been installed in Vietnam for the first time to be used as an essential tool in an educational setting. Students at the Vietnam-Korea Industrial Technology College majoring in Korean Language and Literature are the first in the country to experience the benefits of the conferencing solution.

Financially supported by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and located in Nghe An province, the Vietnam-Korea Industrial Technology College is one of 45 high-quality schools in the country for vocational training. It offers a variety of courses covering a diverse array of disciplines.

KOICA supported the investment in a state-of-the-art conferencing solution for the college’s Korean Language and Literature course. The requirement was for a conferencing solution that could be integrated into the classroom, with KOICA putting emphasis on the technical quality of the system as well as its aesthetic design. To meet this brief, Applied Illumination and Electronics Co., Ltd (AICe) recommended a Dicentis Flush solution.

The modular Dicentis Flush system met all the technical requirements from KOICA while also providing the college with a cutting edge tool for its students to use. Its compact modules have the discreet and elegant form factor requested, while the uncompressed digital audio and ultra-low latency sound deliver exceptional quality to better support students’ learning.

AICe deployed a 10-unit conferencing solution into the classroom. The system features modules for the microphone, loudspeaker and push-to-talk button and AICe has used the advanced equalization to optimize the room-wide sound. Dicentis Flush has been combined with the installed language distribution system and is being used by the college to give interpreters real-world experience of simultaneous translation. While the Korean Language and Literature students use Dicentis Flush to make their voices heard during their classes, student interpreters experience this as a meeting environment and provide interpretation into Korean, Vietnamese and English.

Audio quality has been a key element of the project. The speech clarity delivered by Dicentis Flush means that interpreters can hear every nuance in the conversation to help them understand the true meaning of what each speaker is saying and translate it appropriately.

The result is a solution that meets the technical and aesthetic requirements of the project, while also providing students with the real-world experience that will be vital to their future careers.
