Transportation hubs like airports or train stations need to operate 24/7. This applies to the alarm management and access control system: when operators aren't able to monitor or control doors and intrusion panels the transportation hub could be shut-down. This would result in mayor delays.

Now, the resilient system architecture of BIS protects against multiple failure scenarios. E.g., with BIS installed in a metro, failures of system components do not affect the command & control within the stations and in the operations control centre (OCC). The system operates even when communication lines are disrupted.

An alarm management system enables operators to locate incidents and prevent operational downtime of the facilities. For every alarm a dedicated procedure is displayed which gives step-by-step response instructions, at the same time allowing to track any operator actions for post-event analysis.

Perimeter protection systems, like fence detection or IVA enabled cameras, allow the operator to get immediate awareness of the alarm situation and dispatch the best response team or guards on site. For visual alarm verification BIS integrates well with BVMS or other video management systems.

Large commercial buildings or 24/7 manufacturing sites with 10,000s of people moving around put a lot of challenges to the access control system. Several 1,000 doors need to operate 24/7 continuously to allow access only to authorized people. Employees who left the company or lost their ID card need to be blocked immediately at all sites and doors.

Visitors and parked cars need to be monitored from first access to the premise until they leave in the assigned timeframe. Overstaying visitor will create an immediate alert to the security personal so that a guard can be dispatched to the last known area of the visitor.

In large enterprises corporate security is able to manage security clearance for all employees worldwide and monitor major incidents at any remote part of the world.

Full integration of most disperse security and safety systems into one command & control interface allows the operator to quickly assess any abnormal situation in complex building structures like hospitals and health institutions. Strict control of access to restricted areas is of vital importance.

BIS can also monitor sensors from the building automation system like elevators, light or HVAC systems with the goal to reduce energy consumption or offer emergency services.
