Integrus Wireless Language Distribution System significantly extends its application range

Major software update adds full control over audio input sources of OMNEO transmitter

Bosch Building Technologies has launched a major software update for the OMNEO* transmitter, a key component of the Integrus Wireless Language Distribution System. The update introduces more operation modes for the OMNEO transmitter: fully controlled by Dicentis as before, receiving the audio feed including all settings from a Dicentis conferencing system, or manually controlled to source Dante streams from compatible third-party devices, operating independently of Dicentis. In this mode, it is now possible to choose both Dicentis and Dante input sources and also gain full control over the system via a user-friendly web interface. This flexibility extensively broadens the potential applications of the Integrus Wireless Language Distribution System beyond traditional conference applications.

Recognized industry standard

The Integrus system, recognized as an industry standard in the conferencing world, provides a professional and dependable solution for multilingual meetings. It allows attendees to hear speeches in their native language via tamper-free infrared technology that transmits the audio feeds to pocket receivers and headphones. With the introduction of the OMNEO transmitter in 2023, the Integrus system became fully IP capable, seamlessly integrating with the IP-based Dicentis Conference devices. All language settings are automatically detected and transferred to the OMNEO transmitter, eliminating the need for extra configuration. The system is also supported by a cost-effective licensing model, starting with four standard channels and expandable up to 32 channels.

Expanding horizons with new applications

The latest software update for the OMNEO transmitter adds a new layer of flexibility, allowing system integrators, rental companies and technicians to fully control the system, offering many additional configuration options such as defining the channel count, setting the audio quality, selecting Dicentis and Dante mono or stereo inputs and adjusting audio levels, all conveniently via the web interface. A dashboard view provides a complete overview about the system status and shortcuts to the relevant subsets.

Standalone system capabilities

When operated in manually controlled mode as a standalone system, the Integrus Wireless Language Distribution System can be deployed as a music distribution system for various environments like fitness centers or silent discos, allowing users to choose between different music channels. In multi-language cinemas, audience members can benefit by selecting their preferred audio language – all while watching the same movie show. Further applications include museums, tour guide systems, stage monitoring, interpretation schools where users can simultaneously listen to the original speech and the interpretation language, and more.

Mixed configuration flexibility

In mixed configuration, the OMNEO transmitter can use the Dicentis audio feed together with the Dante channels from third-party devices. The software update also introduces the option to configure the channel number and monitor the input levels of each Dante channel in real-time through a user-friendly, web-based software interface, significantly enhancing the user experience. Another enhancement is the new option of using Dante channels for stereo streaming, doubling the bandwidth and thereby increasing the system's superior sound quality.

Continued innovation in conference technology

Bosch Building Technologies continues to lead the way in conference technology by integrating cloud-based solutions with existing hardware, to meet the evolving needs of the interpretation market while maintaining unmatched security and reliability of dedicated hardware.

* About OMNEO
OMNEO is an architectural approach for connecting devices over IP to exchange information, including audio content and device control.
